Lady Gaga Gives Oprah Interview

It seems that the one and only interview Lady Gaga will do is with Oprah Winfrey. Gaga was interviewed for Oprah’s Next Chapter and said she is taking a vow of silence when it comes to being interviewed. She told Oprah that she has a deep mistrust of the media and in fact never follows any news reports about herself.

It’s an interesting situation considering that Lady Gaga got her start as a publicity seeking singer wearing all sorts of different out fits including one made of meat for the MTV Video Music Awards a few years ago.

According to the The Wrap TV, Gaga and Oprah have gotten pretty chummy. In fact Oprah joined Lady Gaga at Harvard University to help Gaga launch her Born This Way Foundation. The foundation’s aim is to “explore the best ways to reach youth and create a new culture of kindness, bravery, acceptance and empowerment.”

Lady Gaga to Debut Song on FarmVille

Lady Gaga will debut a track from her upcoming album Born This Way on the popular social networking game, FarmVille.

Gaga says, “I want to celebrate and share Born This Way with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before. Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play, and be the first to listen to the album.”

Zynga’s Director of Entertainment and Media, Raquel DiSabatino said, “Lady Gaga is as passionate about her fans as we are about our players. This really was a great meeting of the minds to create an innovative and playful experience for those folks.”

Users can hear one new track per day from May 17th to 19th, 2011, ahead of Born This Way’s release on May 23rd, by completing specially-set tasks.

If you are looking for a guide on how to play FarmVille, look no further. Building your virtual farm can be more enjoyable when you have a guide to give you some inside information and tricks on how to be more successful.  There is a lot of helpful information in a guide because there were just too many ways you can play.

I was doing alright on my own, but I was getting more and more curious about what I might be missing out on. After I reached level 13 and was having a hard time getting farther, I decided to give one of the guides a shot. I bought FarmVille Secrets, a relatively new guide and pretty up to date on the latest additions to the game. I really wasn’t expecting too much, but this guide just blew me away.

In no time, I was the Cream of the Crop, a level 24 farmer with a Big Family Farm and tons of neighbors to visit (thanks to all my friends). Using the tips in this guide helped me way more than I thought they would, even when I read them. There’s a lot more to this farming stuff than meets the eye. I recommend picking up a copy of FarmVille Secrets if you’re interested in getting the most out of your FarmVille experience.

Madonna influences Lady Gaga’s song ‘Born this Way’

Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way‘ became a popular topic among music listeners when the artist decided to release the single two days before the originally scheduled release date.

After the release her song rose to the number one spot on iTunes, reflecting just how popular Lady Gaga is among her fan base. Shortly after the release a number of experts of music begin comparing ‘Born this Way’ with songs by Madonna. MTV contacted Lady Gaga experts to share their thoughts on the song after so the initial flood of reactions.

First up was DJ Riddler, who said that he thought “Born this Way’ sounded similar to ‘Vogue’ by Madonna when he first heard it. Also remarking that the chorus was similar to ‘Express Yourself’. Then reflecting on the similarities between the choir chant and Madonna”s ‘Like a Prayer’.

DJ Uch seemed to reiterate similar sediments and said “When I took a listen, initially, I thought that was a stretch, but the hook is definitely a tinge of vintage Madonna.” Retreating slightly Uch stated, “Still, those songs came out when Gaga was in diapers, and I’m sure Gaga’s core audience don’t have the nostalgia because they, too, were babies or not even alive. Truth is that all artists borrow from the work of early pioneers and the only ones who notice the similarities are those old enough to remember way back when.

Logo Network’s John Polly also thinks that there is a lot of Madonna influence in Born This Way’s sound, although he believes there is nothing wrong with the idea at all.

Music producer Junior Sanchez was however one of those rare people who aren’t ready to compare Gaga with Madonna yet. Sanchez commented, “Gaga is genius but to compare her to Madonna so early on in her career is a little premature. Madonna has been with us for three decades now.”

However he did admit that Gaga has all the potential to change his perception and dominate the pop industry for many years, just like Madonna.

Celebrated Pianists

In the last 300 years since the piano was invented there have been a huge number of predominant pianists. The influence they have had on music throughout the world cannot easily be measured. The musical genres of blues, rock, jazz and classical have welcomed some outstanding pianists who have wowed audiences and left lasting legacies.

When we think about celebrated pianists, it is those from the classical world that immediately spring to mind. Many of them began their musical training from a very young age which allowed them to perfect their prodigious talents early on. Nowadays, the majority are known as composers rather than pianists.

The music of Ludwig Van Beethoven and Wolfgang Mozart can be considered as some of the most renowned in the world but their ability as pianists forged their careers. A romantic pioneer and another child prodigy was Frederic Chopin, a polish composer. Young piano students are frequently given his work to play as a starting point in their learning of the instrument.

The piano was used predominantly in the compositions of Russian-born Rachmaninoff, considered as one of the supreme talents of his generation. He is often cited as having the largest hands out of all of the famous pianists. His hands could span an incredible 14 notes on the piano which was evident in his compositions, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Preludes and others. One of Rachmaninoff’s friends, Vladamir Horowitz, is also considered one of the most well known pianists of the 20th century. The performance he put on for his audiences is considered legendary.

So who is considered the best piano player the world has ever seen? To many, Hungarian-born Franz Liszt takes that title. At the height of his career, it was not uncommon to see audiences bowing before him and women falling over themselves to get a glimpse. Even his peers were astounded at his ability. Audiences were shocked when he took a break from performing to concentrate on mastering his instrument, but he came back with an even better understanding and confirmed what he had once said, “that ten fingers have the power to reproduce the harmonies which are created by hundreds of performers”.

Learn The Piano Using The Internet

Anyone who owns a computer with a decent internet connection has a huge amount of information at their fingertips, and as such is able to learn many things that they could not otherwise do. For instance, the stress, the expense, and the inconvenience can all be removed from learning to play the piano via the internet.

It is easy to see the appeal of learning to play the piano through the internet. Face to face piano lessons present an image of a strict, unfathomably talented teacher breathing down your neck, ready to crack your knuckles every time you make a mistake. Though some may respond to the pressure of performing in front of a teacher, many are put off entirely by it. And the internet can help those who are.

There are a lot of different programs available online that claim to help you learn piano, but it is important to research feedback and comments made by actual piano teachers as to which one is the best before you buy. Once the one for you has been downloaded, though, there’s nothing stopping you from becoming great at the piano. The lessons can be as slow, fast or as long as you want, and you are in control of which songs you learn to play.

This way of learning is also considerably cheaper. Not only is face to face learning often quite costly, but there will inevitably be times when you will have to miss your lesson, and still be expected to fork out for it. With software, it doesn’t matter if you miss your lesson, because the software will be waiting for whenever you find the time to use it.

As well as providing the software, there is a wealth of musical scores available on the internet to further your study of the instrument. This should in no way replace the need for face to face teaching, but the internet can certainly help supplement the musical education of those who do have lessons, or cater entirely for those who don’t find face to face lessons effective.
